Bolton Abbey
- The Yorkshire Estate of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Open all year. Bolton Priory situated in an incomparable position overlooking the Wharfe, the ruins of the restored and thriving parish church are much loved by visitors. Barden Tower, an impressive ruined fortified dwelling with restaurant in the adjacent 15th century Priest’s House. Ample car parking, easy access for the diasabled.

King Edward VI School, Stratford-upon-Avon
- Shakespeare knew these builidngs as home to Elizabethan Stratford’s school and its town council - of which his father was a prominent member. They were built over 150 years before Shakespeare was born by the medieval Guild of the Holy Cross. Today, the half-timbered buildings are still used by pupils of King Edward VI School.
